About us
The past...
Baricska Csárda that is in Balatonfüred, has a special historical background as we know it from scripts remained from the XIVth century.
It was called 'Barychka', and run as a restaurant even in the XVIIIth century. It was very famous from its unique,
high quality gastronomic service.
Merging the present and past, the modern Csárda today has not just offer fine Balaton fish and other specially Hungarian
national meals, but faithful to the traditions as well.
The present...
You can feel this merge looking at our programs offered by our 199 years old Baricska Csárda. You can find the traditional
programs such as summer celebration or grape harvesting events, but our Podium series, that had been released in 2007, become a
very popular choice as well. No matter what program you choose, the fine wine, produced in the Balaton area can not be missed
from the supper tables surrounded by live gipsy music.
The owners have an aim to keep this place to be the "temple" of famous Hungarian culture, wines and gastronomic values.
We make the best efforts to offer our meals and drinks at the highest quality combined with affordable prices for our guests.
The Csárda is in a central location of Balatonfüred, falling to the north from road 71 (you can turn up to the Csarda by the Shell
gas station following the road.) We have a beautiful panorama to the lake Balaton, Tihany church, and the grape fields. We have a
large parking place at the front entrance.
We can serve about 720 people at he same time. If the weather is good the full contingent is available. In case of bad
weather, 400 seats are available inside the building.

Would you have any special request, such as wine tasting party thorough grape harvesting till pork feast,
weddings, family and/or company, team activity programs, we can be partners to fulfill your needs. Please take a
look at our detailed programs! We can organize events, provide complete technical background,
meals and drinks of course.
We have a gipsy band playing live melodies but any music style is available from ballroom till disco upon request.
As an addition to our programs, we can offer a door-to-door transport service for our guests within 20-25 km
(prescheduling is necessary for this - we offer this at the price it would cost to us).
We continuously expand the variety our services, so we can serve our guests' needs the best possible way
